KANASÍN.- During this six-year term 40 thousand decent homes will be builtaccessible and quality for workers and their families, announced the Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena together with the general director of Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit)Octavio Romero Oropeza.
With this expansion, 50 thousand housing actions will be reached in the state, by adding the 10 thousand houses projected by the National Housing Commission (Conavi).

He added that proposals are still being received that could be added in the future, given that in Yucatán there are approximately 170 thousand families without their own home.
More than 13 thousand homes under construction
He explained that they are currently under construction 13 thousand 834 homes with an investment of 8,275 million pesos, distributed in municipalities such as Umán, Mérida, Kanasín, Progreso, Tizimín and Ticul.
These houses, designed for workers who earn between one and two minimum wages, have two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and service area.
They are located in developments that include basic infrastructure such as drinking water, electricity, paved streets and community spaces.
Of the total, five 1,664 homes are built in Umán, three thousand 552 in Mérida, two thousand 488 in Kanasín, 1,184 in Progreso866 in Tizimín and 80 in Ticul.
