JOHNSON COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in a drug trafficking case after a complaint of someone dealing drugs on a motorcycle to homes in the area.
On August 26th, authorities arrested 43-year-old Jerry Dee Robert Akridge.
They served Akridge a search warrant to a camper at a home at 71 Bill Ganto Road in Adrian, Georiga around 9:20 pm.
During that execution law enforcement said they found:
- a large quantity of suspected meth
- marijuana
- multiple prescription pill bottles
- more drug related items
- 3 firearms
- items consistent with a meth lab and drug distribution
A green motorcycle was impounded after being identified as being used to deliver drugs.
Akridge was transported to the Danny Elbert Detention Center in Elberton, Ga.
His charges include:
- Trafficking Meth
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Prescription Drugs not in original container
- Possession of drug-related objects
- Manufacture of a controlled Substance
- Possession of Firearms during the Commission of a Crime
Johnson County Sheriff, Greg, Roland, wanted to express his appreciation to the deputies who executed the warrant.
The sheriff’s also said, “Our Office is committed to ridding this community of serious narcotics and the dangers they bring to our county, This case is another example of our ongoing fight against criminal activity in Johnson County.”
Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released at a later time.
