Julian McMahon’s family has shared a statement days after his death from cancer.
On July 2, the 56-year-old died in Clearwater, Florida, after being diagnosed with cancer, which he faced privately, having not shared his condition with fans.
In a new message to his fans, McMahon’s family shared a short message on his Instagram with an image of the star in his youth, grinning at the camera.
The caption of the post was simple and read: ‘Julian loved @vanmorrisonofficial. For all of those who loved Julian, thank you.’
Fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments with their support.
Twilight star Kellan Lutz commented: ‘Too soon! Miss you “Boss” 🙏🙏🙏’
‘I will love and miss him forever 🖤,’ added actress Yaya Gosselin, who played his daughter in the series FBI: Most Wanted.
Australian Charmed superfan Troy Kellahan commented: ‘He will be missed. The charmed family has lost another amazing person. 💔’

Announcing his death last week, McMahon’s wife since 2014, Kelly McMahon, shared a statement.
‘With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,’ she began in a statement to Deadline.
‘Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.
‘We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.’

McMahon’s first wife was pop star and TV personality Dannii Minogue, whom he wed in 1994 after meeting on the set of Home and Away, a soap in which he starred between 1990 and 1991.
He even had a cameo in Minogue’s music video for This Is It, which is a tune she penned about their romance.
The Sydney-born actor is survived by a daughter, whom he welcomed in 1999 with his second wife, Baywatch star Brooke Burns.
Aside from his roles as Dr Doom in the Fantastic Four franchise and Cole in Charmed, McMahon was famous for playing Dr. Christian Troy on the Ryan Murphy FX series Nip/Tuck.
McMahon acted in this role for six seasons, and the leading role also earned him a Golden Globe nomination.
Additionally, McMahon starred as Jess LaCroix in the CBS series FBI: Most Wanted, from which he departed in March 2022 after three seasons.
Many of his former castmates and celebrity friends have spoken out to pay tribute to the late star, including Alyssa Milano, who played his wife on Charmed.
