Kaizer Chiefs: BEST and WORST signings so far

Kaizer Chiefs have made some very debatable signings so far.

Kaizer Chiefs have signed six players so far.

Nkayiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, Paseko Mako and Siphesihle Ndlovu are Amakhosi’s newest player additions.

CHIEFS WORST SIGNING SO FAR

Silva has not only failed to impress but is also giving Amakhosi supporters flashbacks of recent failed striker signings such as Christian Saile and Caleb Bimenyimana.

He has lacked confidence on the ball and his form is a stark reminder that Chiefs are indeed in the middle of a striker crisis. So, one thing is clear – Amakhosi needs to sign another striker.

Chiefs have had a nightmare pre-season tour of Spain.

Worringly, none of their strikers have managed to score in three outings so far. So, in 270 minutes of football (four and a half hours) not one of their attackers has scored.

In fact, Chiefs’ solo goal was a stunner from defender Reeve Frosler.

AMAKHOSI’S BEST SIGNING

According to club legend, Willard Katsande, Ndlovu is the real deal.

“Even experience‑wise, you know, he’s somebody who has won the trophies and somebody who knows how to play for a big team,” the former Kaizer Chiefs number six added. “So he’s going to be good, and he’s going to rub it into the young ones because he does have a never‑die spirit. And you could see the way he plays,” Katsande stated.

Furthermore, Katsande wants Ndlovu to wear the number 31 next season.

“He’s just an unbelievable boy. I can’t wait for him to play. I wish he can get number 31. For him to remember me. But I’m happy for him. He’s a very good boy,” Katsande concluded.

Therefore, of the six new Chiefs players, he has the most promise.
