Kaizer Chiefs are set to announce more signings with their seventh signing imminent.
Kaizer Chiefs have signed SIX players so far.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi are closing in on their SEVENTH signing of the transfer window.
KAIZER CHIEFS SEVENTH SIGNING
Initially, Chiefs signed Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva and Ethan Chislett.
Thereafter, they confirmed Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane as their next new player additions. Finally, Siphesihle Ndlova was unveiled as their sixth signing of the campaign.
Chiefs have reportedly already agreed to personal terms with Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman from PSL rivals, Cape Town City.
However, as reported on The South Africa, the two clubs are in a legal dispute over these two players.
Meaning, Amakhosi can not announce these players until they have sorted out this dispute. Jessica Motaung has assured fans that there will be more signings with more Chiefs player announcements expected in the coming days.
MOTAUNG ASSURES FANS OF FUTURE SIGNINGS
Following a press conference on the same day as the dispute was made public, Motaung reassured fans that the club is following the correct procedures.
“I think what’s important is that we’re in the business of doing things that won’t interfere with other clubs,” Motaung said.
“We want to follow certain procedures, and that relates to any other player we’re looking at,” she added.
Therefore, Chiefs will announce their next player signings as and when they are able to.
“So, we’re taking a very professional approach in terms of integrating and bringing the players into the team, so we will make sure we only make announcements when the time is right – so watch this space,”
“But certainly, we can’t be engaging on players who are still with teams or still contracted. Once there are any changes, we will make those announcements,” she concluded.
