Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Shinga, Mzize, R4.2 million, Chislett – Bundlezy

Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Shinga, Mzize, R4.2 million, Chislett

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with several players since the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

Although the club won the Nedbank Cup in May, they finished ninth in the Betway Premiership. This means that Amakhosi will not take part in the MTN8 competition for the second successive season.

With five players released, Chiefs have already made several signings during their pre-season. According to reports, the Glamour Boys are on the verge of signing European-based defender Nkanyiso Shinga.

“Alverca has already reached a full agreement with the Kaizer Chiefs to sell Nkanyiso Shinga. The South African left-back had another year on his contract with the Ribatejans,” record.pt website revealed.

“The South African club assumes a value close to 200,000 Euros (R4,2 million) to have the 25-year-old player,”  the site said.

Another player linked with Kaizer Chiefs is Clement Mzize. The 21-year-old scored 14 goals for Young Africans last season and although he is still contracted to the Tanzanian giants, he is keen on exploring new opportunities.

“Of course, I want to explore new opportunities to grow my career. I’ve had wonderful moments at Young Africans, and as I’ve mentioned, I’m still under contract,” Mzize told the Guardian.

“So everything will be handled through my management, and we’ll see what happens next.”

“I’ve had a great season – winning the Premier League crown and scoring in the derby.

“It’s an immense feeling, and I’m grateful to be here. It’s true that I’ve received offers, but as a player, I can’t disclose them,” he said.

Kaizer Chiefs are also said to have completed the signing of Ethan Chislett. The midfielder spent all of his playing days in Europe however, he was born in Durban.
