Karime Morquecho’s success inspires other women

For as long as she can remember, Karime Morquecho Zetter has lived among merchants, so her first memories are intertwined with the boxes of clothes, shoes and fabrics that her mother, Vivianne Zetter Hajje, sold at cheap prices on Obregón Street in Guadalajara.
Such an environment and her natural talent for business contributed to the fact that, when she was barely 13 years old, she started selling clothes and other items on her own, an achievement that she surpassed when she turned 15, as she sold the car that her father, Jorge Morquecho Zambrano, had given her to invest the capital in opening a beauty salon.
She became a mother when she was 17 years old, and, after getting divorced, she decided not to return to her parents’ house, so she worked and studied simultaneously: first she studied Interior Decoration, and later, Business Administration.
Thanks to his efforts, at 21 years old he already had three clothing stores, and now that he is in his thirties, he is CEO of online businesses and of a real estate company in which he works with his family.
Her vast experience has allowed her to develop the eye to recognize opportunities and materialize them, something that she wanted to share with other women to help them achieve their dreams, which is why she created the civil association Mujeres Impulsando Mujeres (MIM).
By supporting businesswomen, she discovered that she also grew as a professional, which is why she is convinced that MIM is a diosidence.
“It started as a support network between women, as a safe place. Sadly, among women we sabotage ourselves a lot, we put our foot down, we always feel judged,” explains Karime.
“In March 2023 I decided to start this association, we were thinking of a small event, of 50 people, where networking would begin not only for entrepreneurs, but in the field of whatever they needed.”

The response to this call exceeded their expectations, as 280 women arrived who had in common the need to feel supported.
Karime perceives MIM as a space of reciprocity, since someone else’s impulse is always needed, as a law of life.
“MIM has body, soul and a beautiful community of women who are already comadres. We have achieved everything from networking, social work, bazaars for entrepreneurs, and we are on the path of opening doors everywhere for women who work hard for their brand.
“The association began when I understood that along the way you must be accompanied, you cannot arrive alone. I have a long way to go to get where I want, but the key to success in everything I want to do is reciprocity, giving and receiving.”
Currently, MIM has a community of 10 thousand persistent people who want to excel in the business world, and Karime’s wish is for this number to increase, regardless of whether they are young or old, since they all have a lot to contribute.
“Many women arrive who have withered away over time, but when you support them, encourage them, and they gain strength to get back up, nothing stops them.
“This project gives me a lot, each gathering is a world of ideas, MIM is a hotbed of women who have come out of darkness and now radiate light. I feel that we must get even closer to those who are 45 years old or older and who have all the knowledge, strength and desire to succeed.”

Karime confesses that it is not easy to be a successful businesswoman, so her life is like a puzzle, but she learned to enjoy that hectic pace.
Her days are divided between children, business, MIM and mentoring: she wakes up early to exercise, takes her young son to school, returns to work, takes the time to attend children’s parties, and manages to help and inspire other women in different fields, always communicating honesty, loyalty and respect.
“I am a merchant and I sell what you buy from me. I am always trying to recognize opportunities and materialize them. Someone who knows how to sell will sell you anything. I have been in different sectors, such as beauty, fashion, real estate, and everything has been for opportunities, and I have been very correct in my decisions,” she expresses.
“The path has taken me to other ports such as the area of conferences, mentoring, from there the theme of association was born, sharing with others, impacting, and in everything, the benefit you receive is incredible when you help others.”

– Mujeres Impulsando Mujeres is a networking forum in which participants improve themselves through their own analysis.
– It is a safe learning space, where everyone shares their successes and mistakes to generate new ideas and solutions.
– Training is constant through courses and talks, but events are also organized, such as the MIM Bazaar, for members to present their brands.
– You can find out more details through their networks, such as their Instagram account @mim.asoc
– Some of the events are free and others only require a recovery fee.
– The next free MIM event is the second edition of the “Elegirte” conference, which will be offered on November 25, within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
