Katie Price is facing the death of yet another pet – the eighth in recent years.

Since 2017, eight animals in the former glamour model’s care have died, with five of them escaping and being hit by cars.

The string of fatalities has led 36,000 people so sign a petition calling for her to be banned from owning pets, with Peta even going so far as to offer £5,000 in exchange for signing a ‘legally binding agreement promising never to acquire another animal’.

Despite this she’s continued to announce the addition of animals to her home.

However, this week she’s revealed one of them had also died.

Last October Katie, 46, purchased three Sphynx cats – including Doris.

BGUK_3313706 - *EXCLUSIVE* UK, UNITED KINGDOM Despite being slammed by concerned fellow pet owners after not having the best track record with her beloved pets, the British Model Katie Price has revealed to the world she's become a 'new mum overnight' as her Sphynx cat Doris gave birth to kittens! Unfortunately, Katie revealed on social media to reveal how one of her cat Doris' kittens had died as the former glamour model is reported to went on to say "Luckily I'm trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum, two are just about doing it but I'm having to put them on it, because they are so premature". It would seem Katie is keen to show off her caring side to her beloved animals after been criticised over the years by an animal charity in the past which offered a cash sum to dissuade her from owning pets. A few days ago, she announced that Doris has given birth but has now given an update and shared that one of the kittens has died.

Posting a video with the caption ‘sad news’ alongside four emotional emoji icons, she explained: ‘An update on the kittens, one unfortunately died.

‘That’s the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it.

‘Luckily I’m trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum, two are just about doing it but I’m having to put them on it, because they are so premature.’

She continued: ‘As you can see how knackered I am, every two and a half hours through the day and through the night I’m feeding them for the mum.

‘She’s a good mum, and then she keeps bringing one to the bed with her, she did that earlier, I think that was a sign to come and look in the box as one had died. But that’s good because she trusts us and loves us so that’s good. So, I’ve got two latching on to her now, so that’s the update.’

Katie owns five hairless cats including Dobby and Hagrid – who she reportedly tried to sell in 2017 because they didn’t get on with her dogs – and Daisy, a sphynx cat which she bought in September.

Doris and Kevin arrived soon after.

‘He had a neurological disease. There was absolutely nothing I could do. Within days it had spread through his body right to the point that he couldn’t even go to the toilet on his own. So, I cuddled him in my arms, and he had to be put to sleep. He was only five months old.’
