Katie Price’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler has apologised to his former stepdaughter Princess Andre following the release of her new show.
The personal trainer, 38, said he regrets his multiple affairs that ended his marriage to Katie, which had a devastating impact on Princess’s childhood.
Kieran and Katie were married from 2013 until their divorce in 2021, which he described as ‘one of the hardest things’ he has ever been through.
Speaking in her new ITV2 series The Princess Diaries, the daughter of Katie and Peter Andre shed light on her mother’s decline following her split from Kieran, who confessed to cheating with several different women.
The 18-year-old also recalled how her mother was ‘heartbroken’ and suffered ‘dark times’, which led to her battles with drug addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder, and attempted suicide.
Princess said: ‘He was in our lives for five years, so we got really close to him, obviously we loved him, he did a lot of stuff and when they split up everything went downhill.

‘My mum was obviously heartbroken, she didn’t deal with that the best way, she went through a very, very dark time which was understandable.’
She also admitted at one point: ‘I wish I could have had a happier childhood’ before saying how she saw things ‘that kids should never see’ after Katie and Kieran’s split.
Now, speaking to the Daily Mail, Kieran has admitted his ‘regrets’ after cheating on Katie with her former best friend Jane Pountney and their ex-nanny Nikki Brown.
Kieran, who shares Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, with Katie, said: ‘It makes me feel so sad. I am as sorry as I can be to Princess witnessing us go through such a horrible separation. Leaving them was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.
‘I would love to apologise and really know how she felt during that time when mine and Kate’s marriage broke down.
‘It’s difficult isn’t it but I would like to reach out. I would love to support Princess and when I have time I will sit down and watch her show.
‘Whenever any marriage breaks down and one parent has to leave the house, it rocks those children’s worlds, it’s really sad. I went into my marriage wanting a happily ever after, no one goes into a marriage wanting it to break down and end but ultimately as much as it impacted the adults, it disrupted and affected the children.

‘When I left, it wasn’t that was it, end of, point blank, I always made sure I kept in touch.
‘It’s hard, when they’re your stepchildren, naturally that bond disappears over time, you have played a massive part in their life but Princess is 18 now, life moves on and you no longer play a role in their lives anymore.
‘But when I look back, I believe I was the best stepfather that I could have been to them. I was respectful to Pete, I hope that’s how they see me as well.’
This is also not the first difficult moment that Princess has opened up about in her new series, after she described the frightening moment she thought she was going to die during a carjacking in South Africa.
In 2018, the then-10-year-old and her mother were driving with a film crew between Johannesburg to Swaziland for another reality show, My Crazy Life, when they were held at gunpoint by six men.
Elsewhere in the documentary, her father Peter was also left horrified when she revealed some of the abusive messages she receives from men on social media.
After digging out one example of ‘disgusting’ direct messaging, Princess could be seen handing Peter the phone, to which he physically recoils.
‘I didn’t think it was gonna be like that,’ he said. ‘Oh my God.
‘That really has made me feel sick, like, in the pit of my stomach.’
