After months of speculation, it’s now been confirmed: Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have split after nine years together. And while the breakup has reportedly been “amicable”, it’s still a major change, especially for a couple who share a child and nearly made it down the aisle.
So, how is Katy Perry coping with the split?
According to sources close to Katy, she’s doing what many of us would: Keeping herself busy. Katy’s been throwing herself into work and staying focused on her The Lifetimes Tour. She’s also spending quality time with her daughter Daisy, whom she shares with Bloom.
“She’s, of course, upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce,” one insider told Us Weekly, adding that her split from ex-husband Russell Brand was “the worst time in her life”. So, skipping the legal drama this time around feels like a small mercy.

The breakup, according to friends, didn’t exactly come out of nowhere. “Katy has grown tired of the situation,” a source told The Sun. With Orlando busy filming and Katy juggling tour dates and motherhood, they’ve reportedly spent “barely any time together this year”.
It’s no wonder, then, that she won’t be attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding in Venice this Friday, June 27, even though Sánchez is one of her close friends. Perry, reportedly, isn’t “thrilled” to miss it. “She wishes she could make it,” one source told Parade. However, Orlando is expected to attend the wedding solo.
There haven’t been any official announcements yet, but it’s clear she’s managing the situation quietly.
