On this occasion, from the municipal palace of Opichén, dozens of local women registered to receive specialized care from the doctor and nurse within the traveling unit, which includes performing mammograms and clinical breast examination, concluding with an assessment report.
In the presence of the host mayor, Ricardo Ordoñez Chan, accompanied by the president of the local DIF, Mirna Caamal Chin, together with Sara Arribas Pinero, Social Responsibility Manager of the Yucatecan pork producing company, they formalized the start of the activities with the cutting of the ribbon and with the medical team explaining the technology applied from inside the mobile unit.
Prior to the opening of the office located next to the municipal palace, Ordoñez Chan urged those present to take care of their health and maintain the habit of preventive awareness that helps identify or address possible issues that put their well-being at risk.
For his part, doctor Cabañas Segovia invited the citizens of Opichén to periodically carry out self-examination, in addition to taking advantage of these opportunities, where through the coordinated and collaborative work between the City Council and Kekén, they provide this type of specialized services at no cost.
In her intervention, Sara Arribas shared that for Kekén these actions accompany its purpose as an organization by improving lives and nourishing with passion, being a supportive and purposeful ally for the communities, contributing together with the authorities by participating with programs, activities or services that favor the social prosperity of the Mayan populations.
As a beneficiary of the event, Imelda Chan expressed her gratitude for the initiative that helps the family economy by saving on private consultations or traveling to areas where this type of care is provided. “We are very happy for this support, it is very useful for us and it is good that they think about our health,” said the neighbor.
The mobile office of the firm specialized in pork with the Federal Inspection Type (TIF) seal will continue its journey through the Yucatecan territory, continuing through Calcehtok, the Opichén police station, the municipality of Kinchil, among other communities.
