From Corn Flakes to Coco Pops, there’s no denying Kellogg’s has some top-tier breakfast options.

One of its most popular products is Crunchy Nut, which many shoppers regularly proclaim ‘the best’ cereal in the UK in posts on social media.

If you’re among the fans who feel this way about the honey and peanut concoction, then you might be intrigued to learn that a new spin is being put on the classic. And it’s going to be… spicy.

At the start of January 2026, Kellogg’s is launching a brand new, limited-edition hot honey cereal, known as Cruncy Nut Hot Honey Crunchies.

The Crunchies are one of the UK’s first-ever spicy cereals to land on supermarket shelves, and when they arrive, you’ll be able to find them in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons, as well as at selected independent retailers, for £3.50 a box.

Kellogg’s says they were inspired to create the quirky new product because of the ‘swicy’ (sweet and spicy) trend that’s been doing the rounds online for a while.

They continued: ‘This is cereal as you’ve never seen before. Think golden honey-coated curls with a whisper of chilli warmth.

‘It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s everything your breakfast bowl didn’t know it needed.’

And if you’re wondering when exactly you’d eat something like this, the cereal giant claims it’s ideal as a ‘midweek pick-me-up’, a ‘cheeky snack’ or to add a ‘little excitement’ to your weekend. Ok, then…

Freya Knight, marketing manager for Crunchy Nut, adds: ‘Crunchy Nut has always been about making breakfast more exciting, and Hot Honey takes it up a notch. Sweet meets spicy is a flavour combo that’s on the rise, so why not go bold at breakfast too?

‘As one of the UK’s first swicy breakfast cereals, Hot Honey Crunchies deliver a gentle kick of heat balanced with the golden honey flavour fans already adore. Cereal-lovers are going to go wild for it.’

Those who want to try the new cereal will have to be quick when it launches on January 1, as it’ll only be around for a limited time.

So keep your eyes peeled, as once the boxes are gone, they’re gone.

In other foodie news, M&S shoppers have been going wild over a tub of Christmas chocolates they claim are ‘better’ than big branded alternatives like Roses and Quality Street.

The Big Mix from M&S costs £7 for a 650g carton or £12 for a huge 1.2kg tin and features a mix of 10 different sweets in colourful wrappers, suitable for vegetarians.

The selection includes Salted Caramel, Coffee Truffle, Hazelnut in Caramel, Cream Toffee, Milk Crème, Caramel Fudge, Strawberry Crème, Orange Crème, Biscuit in Caramel and a Butterscotch Éclair.

A shopper known as littlepieces gave them a 5/5 rating, writing: ‘Best chocolate box for Christmas!

‘These are our favourite chocolate box at Christmas time for sharing with the family – the chocolate is nice and thick and lovely fillings. I’ve been buying these for a few years now instead of the other popular brands.’

Whirley Shirley agreed, saying: ‘Absolutely love this new mix of chocs with some different flavours to the norm. Coffee one a real joy, a nice milk chocolate covering too.’

And fussyshopper1 commented: ‘Great selection, better than the leading brands of chocolates that come in plastic tubs and tins.’
