Kris Jenner has opened up about going under the knife for a facelift, months after turning heads with her new look.
The momager left us all stunned when she debuted her transformation back in May, during a trip to Paris with daughter Kim Kardashian.
Many flocked to social media to unpack the 69-year-old’s refreshed appearance – and her switch from her trademark short hair to a sleek bob – and she has now discussed her procedure for the first time.
In a new cover interview for the September issue of Vogue Arabia, alongside a stunning photoshoot, she declared: ‘I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh.
‘I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.
‘If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is ageing gracefully. It’s my version.’
After intense speculation over who was in charge of Kris’ new look, the matriarch confirmed to the outlet that her face was in the safe hands of Dr Steven Levine.
Like all things in the Kardashian-Jenner universe, it was also a family affair as she explained that Kylie Jenner, her youngest daughter, was by her side at all times, while Kim chimed in over FaceTime.
Discussing why she has chosen to go public about the procedure, she continued: ‘I decided to reveal some details because I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about themselves.
‘Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful.
‘Our enormous fanbase is very emotionally invested in the family. At this point, they want to see what we are doing, and they will know everything, especially as we live in the age of the internet. There’s nothing off-limits.’
Despite undergoing tough surgeries and being moments away from her milestone 70th birthday, Kris is showing no signs of slowing down – and we’re not surprised in the slightest.
‘I don’t know what 70 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great and I’m happy to be there,’ she added. ‘My mom worked until she was 82, and I’m planning on following suit … Maybe 85?’
The mom-of-six’s comments come just weeks after Kylie made headlines around the world by casually sharing the details of her own procedures.
Fans went into meltdown in June when the Lip Kit queen shed light on her boob job, going into specifics of the surgery and even naming her doctor.
British YouTuber Rachel Leary begged for answers on TikTok, asking the 28-year-old to detail ‘what it is she asked for when she had her boobs done’.
‘To me, you’ve got what I am looking for to have done in terms of a boob job,’ she praised. ‘It’s the most perfect, natural looking boob job ever.
‘They’re still big, but whatever way you had the implants, if they are implants, or if you had fat transfer, to me it is perfection. That is what I aspire mine to look like.’
Shortly after, Kylie publicly slid into the comments to share: ‘445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!! Silicone!!! Garth Fisher!!! Hope this helps lol.’
The mom-of-two underwent the procedure when she was just 19, before she became pregnant with daughter Stormi.
In a 2023 episode of the Kardashians, she candidly discussed the transformation and voiced her plastic surgery regrets.
‘I got my breasts done before Stormi, not thinking I would have a child when I was 20,’ she recalled. ‘They were still healing.
‘I had beautiful breasts. Just gorgeous. Perfect size, perfect everything. And I just wish, obviously, I never got them done to begin with.’
