Mexico City, October 20 (However).- The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CdMx) announced this Monday that two search warrants were served in the Alcaldía Tlahuacwhere four alleged members of the Tláhuac Cartelamong them Veronica “N”alias “The Boss”identified as the alleged leader of the criminal group, dedicated to drug sale, extortion, homicide, “drop by drop” loans y dispossession of properties.
“One of the detained women is identified as the probable leader of the criminal cell that operates in the mayor’s offices. Tlahuac e Iztapalapa and some points of State of Mexico“, he reported in a statement.
The searches were carried out, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CdMx) and federal forces, in the Miguel Hidalgo and Las Arboledas colonies, areas identified as mobility points for the criminal organization.
In the first property, located on Traviata Street, two men and a woman were arrested, and 109 bags of marijuana, 487 doses of cocaine and 84 of methamphetamine were seized.

In the second home, located on Porvenir Avenue, Verónica “N” was captured, along with 97 doses of marijuana, 200 grams and 53 doses of methamphetamine, 335 wrappers of cocaine, 97 bags with cocaine in stones, and a cell phone.
The detainee was identified as the romantic partner of Luis Felipe Pérez Flores, alias “El Felipillo”, son of Jesús Pérez Luna, “El Ojos”, and current leader of the Tláhuac Cartel, who operates from prison in Michoacán.
According to the investigations, “La Jefa” coordinated drug dealing, extortion and looting operations in Iztapalapa, Tláhuac and points in the State of Mexico.
The other arrestees were identified as Juan Aarón “N”, Maricela “N” and Axel Zaid “N”, close collaborators of the leader. All were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry (MP), while the properties were under police guard.

The head of the capital’s police, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, highlighted on social networks that these actions are part of the intelligence strategy to dismantle criminal groups and arrest generators of violence.
In addition, he took the opportunity to thank the support of the FGJ-CdMx and the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico.
Finally, the authorities reiterated that the detainees will be treated according to the law and that they are presumed innocent until their legal responsibility is declared.
