Leandro Trossard has put an end to speculation over his future by agreeing to a new contract at Arsenal, according to reports.
There have been rumours throughout the summer that Trossard could quit Arsenal before the transfer deadline on September 1, three years after joining the club from Brighton.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich had been exploring a move for Trossard while scouring the market for a replacement for Leroy Sane, who left to join Galatasaray back in June.
But Trossard has reportedly been unreceptive to Bayern’s advances and ‘there are no significant developments’ regarding the Belgian potentially leaving, according to The Athletic.
The report claims Trossard and Arsenal have now ‘found an accord’ during positive talks between the two parties and the winger is set to receive a salary increase ‘in line with his valued role’ at the Emirates.

However, Trossard’s deal will not be extended beyond its previous expiration of 2027 at this stage.
Mikel Arteta opted to start Gabriel Martinelli on the left flank for Arsenal’s Premier League opener with Manchester United and the Brazilian was replaced by summer signing Noni Madueke in the second half.

Trossard was left as an unused substitute at Old Trafford and will no doubt be desperate for minutes in the Gunners’ second match of the campaign against newly promoted Leeds.
