War Child is planning something special for music fans this year, and all for a good cause.
It’s been over 30 years since the release of War Child’s The Help Album, an album that saw famous faces such as Paul McCartney,Oasis, Blur, Sinead O’Connor, and many more join forces to raise funds for children affected by global conflict.

Now, War Child is teasing a new project, following a growing number of artists on its Instagram page. So far, names seemingly attached to the mysterious project include:

While War Child has not officially called the new project an album, the recent anniversary, as well as other outlets’ reports, all seem to point towards that. It is unknown whether each newly-followed artist will have their own song on the alleged album. However, Arctic Monkeys, the first act slated to join forces with the charity, just confirmed their new single, seemingly titled Opening Night.
War Child has shared the announcement with a teaser video attached, confirming a “new track from Arctic Monkeys,” as well as “more info about our upcoming project to support children living through war.” In the comments, The Last Dinner Party, another rumored collaborator, left a heart emoji in support.
The first single will drop at 3 pm UK time, which is 10 am Eastern Time in the U.S. More information about the charity project will be made available after Arctic Monkeys’ lead single drops.
