The Federal Labor Defense Attorney’s Office (PROFEDET) informs that workers, according to the provisions of the Federal Labor Law, the month of November has a single scheduled mandatory day of rest. Would you like to know which one it is? Below, we provide you with more details about it.

The calendar of immovable holidays is governed by article 74 of the LFT, which determines that the third Monday of the month of November in commemoration of November 20, also known as the Day of the Mexican Revolution, is a mandatory day of rest.which refers to a non-working day in which employees must receive their daily salary, without having to go to work.

However, we remind you that workers who must report to work regularly on the third Monday in November have the right to receive a special salary:

• They must receive, regardless of the salary that corresponds to them for the mandatory rest, a double salary for the service provided.

• This translates into a triple salary for the day worked.

Likewise, we inform you that this will be the only mandatory day off in November.
