Lick is the leading luxury retailer to shop premium paint whether you have purchased a new property and are renovating the whole house, redecorating a single room in the home, or simply want to spruce up your pad, which is long overdue.

There are plenty of colours and textures to select from already, but Lick has launched a new Supreme collection, which includes ultra flat matt finish.

Not only is it a matte texture, instead of the popular glossy or satin options, but the Supreme collection has been created using moisture-resistant technology and rated Class 1 Scrub Rating, which means it is extra durable and ideal for damp areas in the home such as kitchen or bathrooms.

The collection is suitable for all rooms, and is a multi-surface paint, which means it can be used on the walls, ceilings, as well as wood work, skirting boards and radiators.

The new capsule is available in all of Lick’s signature colours, which span over 100 hues, and offer a strong pigment for extra depth, even if it is a flat matte finish. While it has been described as an ultra flat matte texture, it means you will achieve a soft and velvet-like finish to the surfaces this paint is applied to. This finish also hides a sea of imperfections, from bumps in the wall to the window ledge, and makes the room look neat, uniform and sleek.

What we also love about the durable and pigmented paint is that it is fuss-free, and one paint can be applied everywhere, instead of needing numerous different paints for wood, metal and walls.

Speaking about the collection, the Director of Interior Design at Lick, Tash Bradley, shared: ‘Our Supreme paint is the perfect choice for anyone painting multiple surfaces, in any room, but in particular when colour drenching (painting your walls, woodwork, ceiling and even radiators in a single colour) which has become increasingly popular over the last few years.

‘We’re also seeing more people wanting to be adventurous with colour in their kitchens and bathrooms, rooms that were typically more minimalist and where we saw lots of brilliant whites, which this paint is perfect for thanks to its resistance to wear and tear and moisture resistant technology.’

Lick’s formulas are well pigmented, and have been rated Class 1 Scrub Resistance, which we mentioned earlier.  But, what does that mean? According to Lick, this is the highest rating under IS0 11998, and means it is durable enough to withstand being cleaned frequently without damaging the colour or causing any fading. In other words, Lick’s paint is suited for busy homes, including those with children and pets.

Lick prides itself on being a sustainable brand, which is also safe to use in the home. The paints have a low odour and trace VOC – in other words it had the lowest impact on indoor air quality and breathability. As part of its eco-conscious ethos, the B Corp-certified company is also the first made-to-order paint company to avoid any waste.

A 2.5 litre tin of Supreme paint costs £49, but if you’re unsure you can snap up a sample for just £2 at Lick.
