The “Montero” rapper was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday morning following an altercation with police.
According to a report by TMZ, Lil Nas X was roaming the streets early that morning in nothing but cowboy boots and underwear. Per the video obtained of the incident, the rapper was seen walking down Ventura Blvd at 4 AM.
The person driving by recorded the video, capturing Lil Nas X repeatedly pointing to the camera and mumbling about going to a party. At one point in the video, he placed a traffic cone on his head.
Due to his strange behavior, a few citizens in the area reported Lil Nas X to local police. Authorities found him walking in the middle of the road before he was put in handcuffs. Other reports claim Lil Nas X charged at the officers when they arrived and had to be subdued.
Reports state that officers told the paramedics the rapper was going through a possible overdose and was transported to the hospital. For now, authorities told TMZ that Nas is receiving treatment and could face charges for the incident.
The rapper hasn’t addressed the incident since his hospitalization, and his reps haven’t made an official comment on the incident.
The Atlanta-born entertainer recently started re-engaging with his fans after wiping his Instagram on August 19 and with a new username, “Queen Madeline”. Some of his posts include selfies in front of a mirror, images of himself in elaborate costumes, and snippets of new music.
He also teased collaborations with artists like Sexyy Red and Saucy Santana.
Lil Nas X’s upcoming album “Creamboy” is set to be released in 2025, featuring collaborations with producers such as Take a Daytrip, Omer Fedi, and Thomas Bangalter. Some of the songs include “Light Again!” and “Hotbox”.
