Lil Wayne is walking it back. The hip-hop legend ripped Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams following his incredible comeback effort Saturday against the Green Bay Packers, the “Lollipop” singer’s favorite team.
While trash talk is par for the course, Lil Wayne singled out Williams for his painted fingernails. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick is notorious for painting his nails before games.
On Saturday, his nails were blue.
“We don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Straight like that,” wrote Lil Wayne.
Williams responded in kind.

Now days later, Lil Wayne is expressing remorse.
Lil Wayne’s Apology
On Wednesday, the “Got Money” artist acknowledged that his emotions got the best of him following a tough defeat. Williams led the Bears back from a 21-6 deficit.
Chicago’s 31-27 victory at Solder Field was their first playoff win over the rival Packers since 1941.
Ay Caleb don’t mind me bruh I’m just a cheesehead 4life & u just a killa & ya kilt us bad each time & 4 dat u get da praise gesture from me! 🙌🏾 I luh da game & it’d b impossible 2make dat statement without acknowledging & admiring yo game king! U a beast but ya still a bear. 🧀

In response, Williams once again took the high ride. “Weez it’s all love,” he posted. “BearDown tho.”

Williams, 24, certainly did that Saturday night. He completed 24-of-48 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns, including two touchdown drives in the decisive fourth quarter.
His biggest play was a successful heave on a crucial 4th-and-8 to wideout Rome Odunze.

The Bears jumped ahead when Williams found DJ Moore streaking down the left sideline to close their final possession.

With clutch throws like that, no wonder why Weezy was upset.
Williams’ Mani Pedis
The Bears QB has been painting his nails for years, despite criticism from atavistic football fans. He says they’re a tribute to his mom.
“My mom does nails. She’s done it my whole life,” he said in a 2022 interview. “It’s just kind of always been around me. Nobody else does it. I just kinda like to do new things.”
Williams’ latest new adventure is a trip to the NFC Divisional Round. The Bears will host the Los Angeles Rams at 6:30 p.m. EST.
