Love Is Blind lad reveals shocking aftermath of hair transplant as he completely changes look

Devin Buckley, from Love Is Blind season eight, has just recently undergone a dramatic transformation by way of a hair transplant. Though the reality TV star is still healing, he’s begun to share pictures and videos from the procedure on his Instagram, with one person admitting that it’s “been so beautiful to witness every part of this journey with you!”

Here’s everything Devin has posted about his hair transplant so far.

He explained his reasoning in an earlier video

In a video on August 6, Devin said that he was nervous about his hair when entering the Love Is Blind experiment on season eight.

“I was nervous because, I wanna say for four or five years now, I started to see my hair getting thinner,” he said. “I was just worried that if I got on the show, the women that I interact with, when they finally see me, they’ll notice it.”

Soon enough, Devin was getting those exact comments on social media. Though he had tried out hair fibres and some of the other gimmicky fixes, a trip to Turkey was ultimately needed.

He shared a travel video a few days later

Just a few days later, Love Is Blind’s Devin was on a flight to Turkey to complete his hair transplant dreams.

“Just trying to be the best version of me! I’m super excited to announce that I am getting my hair transplant done with @veraclinic. I chose Vera clinic because they are one of the best hair transplant facilities in the world due to its combination of medical expertise, advanced technology, and personalised patient care,” he wrote in the caption.

He was ‘super excited’ for the procedure

The day after that, Devin posted another video from his hotel room where he admitted to being “super excited” to get under the knife.

“I’m going to do something super vulnerable right now,” he said. “I think I’ve done a pretty good job at hiding how bad it has gotten, over the course of these past three or four years.”

Devin showed off his dramatic hair loss, which was starkly different to the earlier video when he was using hair fibres. He noted how his hairline and thinning crown were problematic areas, something he was hoping to fix with the transplant the following day.

It’s procedure day!!

On August 16, it was time for Devin from Love Is Blind to go under the knife for the hair transformation of his dreams. After being dropped off at the clinic, Devin completed some TV and podcast interviews while showing off his basketball skills. He then did some paperwork, and after the obligatory stop off at Starbucks, the doctors checked the “donor area” on his head and marked where the changes would be implemented. Then came the shaving!

“It didn’t look too bad,” Devin said while looking at his bald head.

The procedure itself took around six hours to complete.

He got a self-care day afterwards

The following day, and presumably after a good night’s rest in some fancy clinic bedroom, a doctor smoothed lotion into the transplant area before showing him how to properly wash. It sounds silly, but turns out there’s a very specific way you need to wash your hair post-transplant.

After a quick check from the doctor, at which point he said it looked “great”, Devin underwent red-light therapy to “stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles.” The final, and arguably most fancy step, was getting into a hypobaric chamber to be fed 100 per cent pure oxygen. This helped with “improving graft survival at a very high rate.”

We’ve seen the before on Love Is Blind, so it’s only a matter of time until we see the after of Devin’s hair transplant.
