ITV has confirmed the official start date of Love Island: All Stars after filming was suspended due to ongoing wildfires in South Africa.
The broadcaster has announced today that the show will air later this week, and for the first time ever an extra full episode will also be shown.
Host Maya Jama updated fans with the news in a video on Instagram saying ‘we are back up and running’.
Wearing rollers in her hair, she revealed that she was going to the villa to ‘start filming in a minute’.
This comes after the launch show was postponed until an unknown date on Saturday afternoon after cast and crew were forced to evacuate the set.

When will Love Island: All Stars air?
The broadcaster has announced that the show will air tomorrow night on Thursday January 15.
An extra full episode will also air on Saturday January 17 at 9pm as well, making history for the ITV series.
Previously, an ITV spokesperson said: ‘Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed.
‘Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed,’ they added.
Via its Instagram page, the show also said: ‘Just a reminder that the Love Island launch show has been delayed due to wildfires near the Villa in South Africa.
‘Everyone is safe though and we’re working on bringing you an iconic series, so keep an eye on our socials and we’ll let you know the new launch date as soon as we can.’
What channel is Love Island: All Stars on?
The new series of Love Island: All Stars will air on ITV2 AND ITVX at 9pm on Thursday.
This comes after the production crew had been working to resume filming midweek.
The Sun had previously reported that the scheduled shooting on the show had been cancelled after it was deemed ‘too dangerous’ to have Jama and the crew there.
A source told the publication over the weekend: ‘They have now cancelled filming today and are hoping to resume tomorrow. ITV will always put the welfare of the cast and crew above the show.
‘But this is a huge headache and will make everything a far closer call when it comes to getting enough footage in the can for Monday night’s launch show.
‘Naturally, if the fire is still posing a risk the show will be pushed back again.’
Who is in the Love Island: All Stars line-up?
A spin-off of ITV’s popular reality dating show Love Island, this third series of All Stars was welcoming back famous past contestants who had remained unlucky in love.

In terms of the boys, Ciaran Davies, 23, Shaq Muhammad, 27, Charlie Frederick, 30, and Tommy Bradley, 22, round out the rest of cast.
