It’s been revealed that a Love Island 2025 couple “hooked up” before the show, but are now coupled up and pretending they’ve just met?! What on earth is going on?!
It’s been confirmed that Casa Amor girl Lauren was given her place on the show by producers, after she took part in a “dry-run” of the villa. Yes, this is a thing! A set of people go out to the villa, and pretend to be Islanders in a dry-run. They test the mics, camera angles and other production things. But, now it’s been said she wasn’t the only person to get chosen for the show in this way.
Lauren has just coupled up with Ty, and despite them sitting awkwardly and pretending they’ve just been flung together, apparently they hooked up before the show! Ty was reportedly also a guinea-pig Islander at the same time Lauren was.

A source told The Sun: “Ty and Lauren are acting like they’ve only just met but that’s far from the case. They hooked up during the dry run, which is where a fake cast moves into the villa to test out everything from camera angles, to kitchen appliances and run-through challenges.
“And then they even saw each other on the outside before ITV invited them back to be part of Casa Amor. Now they’re both in the main villa pretending like none of this ever happened but it’s all entirely fake and ITV know about it. Viewers deserve to know it’s all a huge sham.”
The source continued to say things between Lauren and Ty didn’t end when they left the villa practice. “Ty and Lauren don’t live far from each other at home and they continued seeing each other after the dry run week,” they added.
“It was so awkward how the episode made out like they’d never met before. I think it’s really important viewers know they’re being duped.”
