The M60 motorway has been closed in both directions on the outskirts of Manchester due to a police incident.
Traffic has been blocked off from junction 10 at Trafford Park and junction 11 at Eccles clockwise, and between junction 10 and junction 12 anticlockwise.
National Highways said the road was first closed off anticlockwise at 7am, before also being shut in the opposite direction two hours later.
The road body said the closure was ‘due to a Greater Manchester Police led incident’ without providing further details.
Drivers heading anticlockwise are being told to follow the hollow circle symbol for a diversion, while drivers heading clockwise should follow the solid square.
