
A woman is fighting for life after being found on side of the road in east London.
The woman, in her 40s, was taken to hospital after being found at the scene with potentially life-changing and life-threatening injuries yesterday at around 3.25pm.
A man in his 40s has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and false imprisonment, the Metropolitan Police.
A police cordon could be seen at the seen as the road was closed off while paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended to the woman.
She was later taken to hospital where she ‘continues to receive medical treatment’, police said.

A spokesperson forstated: ‘At 15:23hrs on Saturday, 6 September, officers and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of an injured person on Romford Road, Newham E7.
‘A woman in her 40s was found at the scene with potentially life-changing and life-threatening injuries.
‘She was taken to hospital and continues to receive medical treatment.
‘A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and false imprisonment.
‘He remains in police custody. An investigation has been launched and enquiries continue.’
