AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed a 23-year-old died Thursday afternoon after he was shot at the Waffle House on Talbot Drive the day before.
Antoine Stokes, of Martinez, Ga., was pronounced dead on Aug. 21 at 3:59 p.m.
The coroner’s office responded to Wellstar hospital to confirm Stokes’ death. He was transported to the hospital after being shot at least one time on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Stokes.
