Manchester United have made a staggering £92m loss after finally offloading Rasmus Hojlund and Antony on transfer deadline day.
Ruben Amorim included Antony in his ‘bomb squad’ at the start of the summer after the Brazilian spent last season on loan at Real Betis.
Manchester United paid £82m to sign Antony from Ajax 2022 but he will be remembered as one of the biggest transfer flops in Premier League history.
Antony was one of the most expensive imports in English football but scored just five goals in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old fared better during his loan spell at Betis and was keen to secure a permanent move to the La Liga club.

After weeks of negotiations, Manchester United finally agreed a deal with Betis to sell Antony for an initial £19m, with a further £3m in add-ons.
Hojlund was not part of Amorim’s bomb squad at the start of the summer but United put him up for sale after the £74m signing of Benjamin Sesko.

Denmark international Hojlund was keen to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the team but accepted his United career was over after being repeatedly left out of Amorim’s matchday squads.
Hojlund eventually approved a move to Napoli and will join the Serie A giants on an initial loan. Napoli have agreed to make the move permanent next summer for £38m if they qualify for the Champions League.
Much was expected of Hojlund following his £72m move from Atalanta but the 22-year-old endured a miserable spell in Manchester, scoring just four league goals last season.
While the transfer is yet to be confirmed, Manchester United have also agreed a deadline-day deal with Aston Villa for Jadon Sancho.
Amorim had no intention of reintegrating Sancho into his first-team squad following his return from Chelsea at the end of last season.
Sancho was hoping to earn a permanent move to Stamford Bridge but Chelsea paid £5m in compensation to send him back to Manchester United.
