Amorim is understood to be a huge admirer of Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, while contact as been made with free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Former United striker Louis Saha, however, believes his old club should be targeting a move for Duscan Vlahovic.
The 25-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Juventus and has been linked with a move to AC Milan as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia and even Brazil.
