Manhunt launched after woman left ‘seriously injured’ in shooting in Dudley

A frantic search is underway to find a gunman who shot a woman just after midnight today.

Two shots were fired at a home on Priory Road, Dudley, West Midlands. When police arrived, they found a woman with serious injuries.

The road where the shooting happened is currently closed off as officers investigate.

In a statement, police said: ‘We understand the concern in the community this incident will raise. Officers will remain in the area and carry out reassurance patrols.

‘Our investigators are carrying out enquiries to identify who’s involved.’

West Midlands Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called to reports of a shooting at an address on Priory Road in Dudley at 12.16 am this morning and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Cosford to the scene.

‘On arrival, crews found a woman who they treated for serious injuries, before conveying her under emergency driving conditions to the hospital.’
