About the arrest of “Gigio”, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that in the action led by the Navy, the Defense, National Guard, the SSPC itself, as well as elements of the FGR.
The federal agency reported that the arrest of Francisco Ernesto “N” was due to an arrest warrant against him for the alleged crime of illegal deprivation of liberty and that it was carried out during a search of a property in Nogales, Sonora.
“Through intelligence, investigation and use of technology, a home was identified in the Buenos Aires neighborhood in the municipality of Nogales, where a man identified as a priority target in the region was being held, so fixed and mobile surveillance was initiated to collect sufficient evidence data that was delivered to a Control Judge, who granted the order to intervene in the property,” the SSPC reported.

During the action, the operator of “Los Gigios” was detained, from whom 40 doses of drugs were seized; The detainee and the alleged drugs were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry but the investigation will continue.
