The Maritime Police seized more than two dozen jet skis and suspicious nautical material inside a warehouse, in the municipality of Portimão, in the district of Faro.
During the operation, carried out by the Central Criminal Investigation Unit (UCIC) and the Regional Command of the Southern Maritime Police, “the elements of the Maritime Police detected more than two dozen jet skis, as well as trailers and spare parts for vessels”, announced this Saturday, October 25th, the National Maritime Authority, in a statement.
The seized goods were “in a space allegedly used to store nautical material of suspicious origin and destination, which shows signs of falsification of technical notation and other irregularities”.
According to the same note, a suspect was accused of involvement in the illicit activities detected.
The material found was seized and evidence considered relevant for the continuation of the investigations, which are taking place “under the direction of the competent judicial authority”, was collected.
