Martyrdom due to occupation fire in Silwad and raids in Nablus and Ramallah | news

A Palestinian boy was killed after being hit by live bullets, at dawn on Friday, during the Israeli occupation forces storming the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, while the occupation forces carried out raids in Nablus, Qalqilya and Bethlehem.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Silwad and confrontations broke out at the entrance to the town, during which these forces fired live bullets and poison gas and sound bombs, which led to the injury of Yamen Samed Hamed (15 years old) with live bullets, before his death was announced at the Palestine Medical Complex.

The sources added that the occupation forces prevented the ambulance from transporting the injured person and left him lying on the ground for a short period, before allowing the ambulance to transport him.

The Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank during the two years of genocide in Gaza, which resulted in the death of 1,062 Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.

The occupation forces stormed the new Askar camp, east of the city of Nablus, amid the firing of toxic tear gas bombs near the entrance to the camp, and confrontations between Palestinian youths and the occupation army.

Israeli forces also stormed the town of Deir Bzei, Ramallah District, and raided Palestinian homes during their storming of Al-Azza Camp in Bethlehem, south of the West Bank.

Local sources said that the occupation soldiers closed the tunnel road connecting the city of Qalqiliya and the town of Habla (south of the governorate) in the north of the West Bank. The sources added that settlers threw stones at Palestinian vehicles at the Qadumim roundabout (east of Qalqiliya) in the north of the West Bank.

On Thursday evening, the occupation forces imposed a siege on Sinjil (north of Ramallah) and stormed the town after closing its northern entrance.

Moataz Tawafsha, mayor of Sinjil, said, “The occupation army closed the iron gate erected at the northern entrance to the town, while its military vehicles stormed it and stationed itself in the center of Sinjil, in an attempt to provoke the people.”

He added, “For more than two years, the occupation has closed two main entrances to the town, with an iron gate and dirt barriers, and entry through them is not permitted at all.”

Since October 2023, the number of permanent and temporary checkpoints and gates that divide the Palestinian territories and impose restrictions on the movement of Palestinians and goods has reached about a thousand military checkpoints and gates. Among these barriers and gates are more than 243 iron gates erected during the war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, according to the “Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority.”
