Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Unveils Change to Movie Logo

Although Marvel opted to push back the highly anticipated releases of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the general excitement about the two films still remains high. And for anyone who’s battling fatigue while playing the waiting game for Avengers: Doomsday to be released on Dec. 18, 2026, directors Joe and Anthony Russo gave fans a few small teasers at Destination D23 on Saturday, Aug. 30.

While the Russo brothers took a break from filming to send a recorded message, along with the release of a unique teaser video, the duo added some hype behind the film with their comments at D23. Additionally, another noteworthy unveiling came in the form of a new logo release.

Although the newly released logo design won’t lead to the reprinting of any merchandise or apparel ahead of the movie’s release, it does include a few stylistic changes worth highlighting.

The comparison of the old Avengers: Doomsday logo next to the new one was posted by MCU Film News, and the biggest change appears to be the font selection, specifically for the word “Doomsday.”

It appears the word “Avengers” remains largely unchanged, which isn’t surprising. However, the new logo seems to put an added emphasis on “Doomsday.” The spacing between the letters is spread out more in the photo from D23, and the font change is apparent when looking at the letters “D” and “Y,” specifically. Lastly, the lines on top and below the word “Doomsday” are more pronounced, again indicating a likely focus on adding emphasis to the word.

Although there were several intrigue-adding moments during the segment from the Avengers: Doomsday directors, the Russo brothers also sent a message to fans while dubbing the movie “bigger than anything we have ever done,” as The Direct detailed.

“Hi D23 members, this is Joe and Anthony Russo. Right now, we are in London shooting Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. This movie is, to say the least, a big one for us. It is bigger than anything we have ever done. We are bringing together so many of your favorite heroes to face one of the greatest threats to the MCU.”

The clip also featured a surprise appearance from Paul Rudd, the beloved Ant-Man actor, which was an obvious cause for excitement among fans.
