If you have been looking for a way to turn up the heat on your fast-food order, no need to look any further. Starting in late October, McDonald’s is introducing three brand-new items to its menu. The decidedly quiet rollout features a new sauce, plus new sandwiches and wraps, and an epic dessert collaboration that’s bound to serve major sweetness and nostalgia to fans of the Golden Arches.
The fast-food giant just released a new signature sauce that is all about bringing the heat to classic menu items. According to many sources online, the new Buffalo Ranch Sauce is a perfect blend of punchy Buffalo sauce and creamy ranch. Perhaps the best part of this saucy drop is that, beyond getting Buffalo Ranch dipping cups to pair with fries or chicken nuggets, McDonald’s has created a whole menu built around spicy-meets-cooling sauce that customers will get to enjoy. The Buffalo Ranch menu will feature the titular sauce available in the McCrispy Sandwich or the McCrispy Deluxe Sandwich. And as if the return of the Snack Wrap back in August was not a revelatory moment, McDonald’s is rolling out a new Buffalo Ranch Snack Wrap.
In addition to the new Buffalo Ranch lineup, McDonald’s will be mixing things up on the sweet side, too. The Golden Arches will also be launching a new Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Frappé. The popular food account @snackolater shared a run-down of each menu item in a TikTok post on Thursday, Oct. 23. Speaking about the dessert beverage, the creator said it has a “chocolate syrup cookie syrup. It’s also got Chips Ahoy pieces mixed.” If that doesn’t sound like the perfect sugary balm for the punchy richness of the Buffalo Ranch sandwiches and wraps, I don’t know what is.
@snackolator McDonald’s is dropping a new chicken menu and a CHIPS AHOY collab that I want so much more of! On October 28th McDonald’s has another new sauce – Buffalo Ranch. I am not sure how different this is than just mixing some buffalo and ranch, but this opens up another new Snack Wrap along with a McCrispy flavor in both regular and deluxe. You can also get the Buffalo Ranch dipping cups for McNuggets as well. And then McDonald’s is bringing a new Chips Ahoy Frappé that has a COOKIE SYRUP along with Chips Ahoy! pieces – this *should* give us a Chips Ahoy McFlurry, but it does not appear to be the case. Are you excited for the new items at McDonald’s? . . . . #mcdonalds #macdonalds #frappe #fastfood #chickensandwich
McDonald’s enthusiasts flooded the creator’s post with their immediate thoughts and questions about the menu drop announcement.
“Tried it yesterday, it tastes great!” proclaimed one commenter. “You can tell all they did was mix their buffalo and ranch together…still good though.”
“Buffalo Ranch sounds like a sauce combo I would definitely mix myself when I can’t decide if I want buffalo or ranch…but I’m more interested in the *cookie syrup*-is this a new level of fast food wizardry? Where’s my Chips Ahoy McFlurry though??” another person commented.
“I will be getting that Chips Ahoy drink,” said one person, while another person said, “I’m just waiting for McRib to come back.”
The new Buffalo Ranch sauce, as well as on the McCrispy Sandwiches and Snack Wrap, along with the Chips Ahoy Frappé, will be available nationwide beginning Oct. 28. That is a few days away, but if you’re lucky your local Golden Arches location may already have soft launched the menu so be sure to make a call or a pay a visit to the nearest drive-thru. Who knows, you might come back home one of the first few people to try the latest of Mickey D’s creations.
