“We had six cases, in the last seven weeks there have been no new cases and on November 23 the closure of the measles outbreak will be declared, so we hope to continue like this this month”said.
He indicated that given the risk of the measles outbreak that occurred this year in Mexico, an emergent vaccination was implemented in the country’s capital with more than 632 thousand doses applied throughout the city, in addition to the doses applied at airport terminals, to protect staff and travelers, as well as health personnel.
“This action of vaccinating, of applying 623 thousand doses, reflects our capacity for timely response and the commitment we have to keeping Mexico City free of measles,” he said.
