Michelle Keegan has been spotted back at work five months after welcoming a baby daughter with her husband Mark Wright.
The Stockport-born actress, 38, rose to fame as Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street between 2008 and 2014, becoming a British TV staple in the years after.
She met husband Mark, 37, in 2013 and the two tied the knot in 2015, before announcing in December 2024 that they were expecting their first child together.
In March 2025, the couple’s daughter, Palma Elizabeth, was born, and afterwards, mum and dad were spotted settling comfortably into their lives as new parents.
Many presumed Michelle would take time out from acting after becoming a first-time mum, but she revealed earlier in August that she was back at work.
That work is ITV’s upcoming police drama The Blame, based on the novel by Charlotte Langley, which starts on the day that a teenager’s body is found in a small town.

A synopsis reads: ‘The series begins when the body of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen is discovered, sending shockwaves through the town of Wakestead.’
Michelle will be playing DI Emma Crane in the six-part series and is set to star alongside The Sandman actor Douglas Booth, who plays DI Tom Radley.
‘As DI Crane and DI Radley dig deeper, what starts as a tragic death, spirals into a tangled web of lies, institutional cover-ups, and moral compromise.’

The synopsis concludes: ‘As the clock ticks and trust fractures, Crane must navigate both a murder investigation and the treacherous politics inside her own team.’
In brand new photos captured during filming, Michelle can be seen in character wearing blue forensic gloves and a grey sleeveless pullover on top of a pink shirt.
Other pictures showed Michelle wearing the same outfit but donning a black leather jacket as she spoke to actors playing police officers in the upcoming drama.
The Blame marks Michelle’s return to ITV after years away, having last appeared on the broadcaster in 2017 as part of the cast of The Keith & Paddy Picture Show, developed by Leigh Francis and Paddy McGuinness.

In more recent years, the former Coronation Street star has worked for the BBC on drama series Ten Pound Poms and for Netflix on the mystery thriller Fool Me Once.
The team behind Fool Me Once – the Manchester-based company Quay Street Productions – is also producing The Blame, which is being filmed in and around London.
Also joining the cast will be the likes of Ian Hart from The Last Kingdom, Gavin Spokes from House of the Dragon, Josh Bolt from The Last Tango in Halifax, and Matilda Freeman from Passenger.
In a statement, ITV’s head of drama, Polly Hill, said: ‘The Blame is a brilliant new crime thriller full of surprising twists and a compelling investigation that also cleverly tackles police corruption, exploitation and misogyny.
‘Megan Gallagher is such a wonderful and clever writer, and with Michelle Keegan in the lead and Nicola Shindler at the helm, this is going to be an unmissable drama and one I’m very proud to have on ITV.’
No official release date has been given yet, but ITV fans can expect the upcoming police drama to be unveiled either late in 2025 or in 2026.
