The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Developmentin coordination with the Government of Michoacanreveal the operating mechanics of the complementary support to the price of corn of 950 pesos per ton, announced on October 29 by the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Julio Berdegué Sacristánduring La mañanera del pueblo, by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
He Federal government will contribute 800 pesos per tonwhile Michoacán will add 150 pesos. This scheme is aimed at producers of up to 20 hectares, which represent 98 percent of the productive units of the entity.

Local leaders requested the publication of the operational mechanics of the supports and the installation of a dialogue table, facilitated by the Government of Mexico with the support of the state government, so that producers can negotiate with buyers the best possible conditions at the time of harvest and sale.
