The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) has been royally played by Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) in Emmerdale.
Struggling as a result of multiple fines, Moira very nearly gave up her role at Butlers Farm when Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) swooped in with a tempting offer.
She turned it down when she discovered that Joe had paid Noel from the water company to decline her appeal. This was a sign that the flame inside Moira was still burning – but it sadly got quite a bit smaller in the latest episode.
Celia popped by Moira’s and revealed an update regarding their contract at a local hotel.

Celia, recognising the financial pressures both women are under, previously pitched a partnership. She suggested they combine forces: Moira would supply beef from her farm, while Celia would market and sell her poultry products to a reliable supplier.
The plan aimed to increase income for both and provide stability amid tough market conditions.
Celia explained that her outgoings have increased by £1000 a month thanks to her sly landlord, and she was aware of Moira’s financial position. She saw a win-win opportunity for both women to solve both their problems.
The deal with the hotel left Moira hopeful that it wouldn’t be long until Butlers Farm was back on track. Sadly, Celia returned a few hours later with some devastating news.
The plan was no longer going ahead, which meant Moira had lost thousands of pounds. Celia felt awful, knowing she had put Moira in this position because the partnership was her idea.
A while later though, we saw Celia again, and where she was standing very much proved she didn’t feel the tiniest bit sorry for Moira.

The new face was visiting Home Farm to see Joe. It was then confirmed in that moment that she is working with Joe and Kim Tate (Claire King) as part of their plan to buy all of the land that surrounds Home Farm.
Celia confirmed the plot had been completed. As far as she was concerned, Moira made a massive error by agreeing to the deal so quickly and barely looking at the contract.
Joe was thrilled. It was a brutal twist and even Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) was horrified, though not enough to change the status of her and Joe’s relationship.
Who are we to judge.
With Joe keen to make Kim proud, he isn’t going to stop until the plan is finished.

When it comes to the fate of Butlers, Moira certainly should’ve known better, but going into Celia’s deal with her eyes shut was clearly a sign of how desperate she had become.
The gamble has not paid off.
Is she about to walk away from farm life for good?
Celia Daniels made her arrival to the ITV soap in June. Her first scenes were with Moira, but she then became part of a story that saw Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) attacked by a dog that was on her farmland.
In the aftermath, Paddy took a bolt gun from the vets and went to the spot where the dog attacked him. He was found by Celia, who said that she had shot the stray dog already.

Celia got the upper hand in this conversation and scared Paddy away by practically screaming in his face. With his self-esteem low, Paddy unleashed his anger on his dad and said it would be better if he no longer lived with them.
It was a brief plot with Celia, but she made quite the impact in a very short space of time.
She proved that she did not care what other people thought of her, because making enemies in the village is far more enjoyable to her than making friends.
