“I have spoken with some deputies from my group, deputies, and they agree. We are going to present it as a reservation, given that the opinion has already been approved and we are under discussion,” he stated.
He explained that an agreement was reached Haciendathe Ministry of Health and the soft drink industry to reduce IEPS on sugary drinks that they are proposing by 50 percent, in exchange for measures to benefit health, the health of Mexicans.

He explained that this gesture implies more than a reservation, it is rather a political and legislative one. By “recomposing” the relationship with the country’s economic sector and the Federal Executive.
“This agreement would not have been possible, it expresses its desire to recompose, if there was, any non-composition with the economic sector, its relationship. What President Claudia Sheinbaum does at the precise moment of the legislation is to accept an agreement that suits everyone, that suits everyone for the good of the health of Mexico,” he expressed.
He stressed that Morena must get closer to business economic groups, the media and religious associations, civil associations, because they are rebuilding a country.

“That is our position, that we are reviewing the national project that we have been promoting since 2018. We are going to insist on this position of dialogue, agreement and conciliation.
