The Mayor Evelyn Parra inaugurated with great success the festivities of the Day of the Dead 2025before more than 15 thousand people who gathered on the esplanade of the Mayor’s Office Venustiano Carranzain a family atmosphere, colorful and full of tradition, consolidating the district as one of the main cultural points of Mexico City to honor this emblematic date.
With the cutting of the ribbon, the president began the celebrations and highlighted the importance of preserving the traditions that strengthen Mexican identity and promote community coexistence. Likewise, he invited families to enjoy the activities that will take place during the weekend, designed for all ages and with free access.
Accompanied by the federal deputies, Julio César Moreno Rivera, Elena Segura Trejo and Mónica Fernández César, the Mayor toured the attractions that the public is enjoying these days such as a giant art gallery, a catacomb, the monumental mega-offering, giant catrinas, a challenging labyrinth, as well as a gastronomic area, a mechanical fair and a House of Terror. In addition, the Chocolate and Bread Fair of the Dead is presented as one of the main attractions, bringing together several exhibitors, who share the flavors, aromas and culinary traditions that accompany this significant date for Mexican families.
At the same time, and in order to make culture closer to the people, each territorial headquarters also organized its events in the different parks and civic squares of the demarcation, where, in addition to finding spaces full of color, they will also be able to enjoy totally free shows such as in the Executive Plaza in the Territorial Jardín Balbuena, Parque Fortino Serrano in the Territorial Moctezuma, in the Plaza Adolfo López Mateos in Arenales and in the Parque Aguascalientes in the Territorial Morelos, among others. other spaces and that, throughout the Mayor’s Office, will continue until Sunday, November 2 from 10 in the morning to 11 at night.
