Pedro Haces maintained that the State must assume their responsibility firmly against the violence suffered by children.
“Protecting children is one of the most noble and urgent tasks of the Mexican State and our city. There is no political, social or institutional project that it makes sense if those who represent our greatest hope are not placed at the center of their decisions: girls, boys and adolescents,” he said.

He recalled that currently crimes such as family violence, injuries, threats or abandonment are only investigated if the mother, father or guardian files a complaint; This condition leaves victims whose attacker belongs to the same family unit helpless.
