Most people worry more about their cell phone battery than their debts: BANXICO

“With 2% battery they panic more than with a seizure notification,” a study revealed.

Villa de Litio.– A recent report from the Bank of Mexico (BANXICO, for its corny acronym) revealed that the majority of Mexicans experience more anxiety when seeing their cell phone with 5% battery than when the bank notifies them about an overdue debt.

The study, titled “Emotional economy and energy load”found that 87% of respondents check their phone’s battery percentage three times a day, while only 8% know how much their total debt is on cards, loans or installments.

Banxico warned of the risks of leaving home without the charger

“There are people who even leave the house with their charger, but not half of them pay the minimum on the card,” said a BANXICO economist while plugging his cell phone into the nearest outlet.
