Marks & Spencer fans can once again enjoy the popular Steak and Chips dine in deal for two, as it’s returned to Foodhalls once more.
The offer allows shoppers to get one steak main, one side, and one sauce for a total for £14.
Options include British beef sirloin steaks, British beef rump steaks, salt and pepper potato wedges, fries, caesar salad, vegetables and sweet potato fries, as well as peppercorn sauce, mushroom sauce, bernaise sauce and Diane sauce.
And if you aren’t a steak fan, you also have the choice to swap out the beef for salmon fillets, duck, chicken or pork.
But eagle-eyed shoppers might notice there’s something a little different about the deal this year.
The biggest change is the price, which in 2024 was £12, so there’s been a £2 increase since the deal was last available.
But the raised cost doesn’t seem to be putting people off, although many do have a very different complaint about the deal to raise with the retailer, as dozens have taken to social media to let M&S know they don’t think one side is enough and they want two.
On Facebook, Laura Phillips said: ‘I think these are great but honestly it should include two sides so you can have a potato and veg choice.’
Denise Roberts agreed, writing: ‘Exactly this! I want potatoes AND veg!’
Instagram user @gemallsopp felt similarly saying: ‘Two sides would be better. Used to be!’
And @n_mccs commented: ‘Should be two sides – one carb, one veg. Balance guys.’

Some were also upset about the lack of drinks included in the offer, with shoppers keen to see wine included as well.
‘Throw in a bottle of wine,’ posted Dolores Donaldson, as Linda Bruce Mair asked: ‘What happened to the wine?’
April Witty added: ‘We need dine in for one deals with a small bottle of wine for singles.’
However not everyone had an issue, with customers hailing the deal ‘unreal’ and their ‘favourite’.
On Instagram @mannykaur proclaimed it her ‘fave meal deal’ and @_poshbird_ thought it was a ‘sight for sore eyes’.
Meanwhile @michelle.wilkin.9 found it to be ‘good value’ and @stuartbailey66 declared it a ‘fantastic meal deal’.
An M&S spokesperson told Metro: ‘The Steak & Chips Dine In offers our customers thick British steaks along with a side and a sauce. Listening to our customers, we have introduced new mains to the menu including a British Tomapork and Collection Sockeye Salmon Fillets, giving a huge selection for customers to enjoy.
‘Carrying a saving of up to £5.50, this great offer is only around until November 11, so hurry to enjoy a restaurant quality meal in the comfort of your own home at just £7 a head.’
This comes after M&S recently launched a new item in the bakery section which shoppers claim is the ‘best thing they’ve sold in ages’.
The retailer added a chocolate version of the classic Pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart), which costs £1.10 and features aa creamy baked egg custard and chocolate filling inside an all-butter cocoa pastry.
Snaps of the sweet treat have been doing the rounds on Facebook and Instagram, where M&S fans have hailed it as ‘banging’, ‘worth’ the cost, and a ‘10/10’.
On Instagram, @scotthamilton01 said: ‘Had one yesterday, banging.’
While over on Facebook Joe Midgley wrote: ‘One of the best products M&S have sold for a long time! Worth £1.10.’
Chris Sutherwood on TikTok thought: ‘Anything their bakery makes is GOLD.’
