Neighbor sued her neighbors for removing her from the WhatsApp group, and they did proceed

Healthy Neighborhood.- A woman was removed from a neighborhood group of WhatsApp for being (according to the other neighbors) “conflictive”which caused her to go to court to demand that she be put back in.

The unusual situation occurred in Block D of the Terrazas del Alto Condominium, in the city of Arica, Chile, where the affected person was banished from the block group, since—according to the accused—she took advantage of the chat to “air gossip and fight over common expenses”.

The expulsion occurred after a show of hands among the group’s members, who mostly favored their digital exile.

This neighbor demanded her right to continue gossiping

But the story did not end there: the affected woman went to the Arica courts to expose the situation and demand her return, arguing that “the decision deprived her of her right to be informed and participate in decisions that affect her specific community”.

Surprisingly, the Court of Appeals of Arica agreed with him and determined that, in effect, “the decision affected the plaintiff, since she had been subjected to discriminatory treatment different from that of the rest of the neighbors, depriving her of her right to participate in the community for subjective reasons”according to the judicial resolution.

Finally, the court ordered that the neighbor be reinstated in the WhatsApp group of Block D of the condominium within a maximum period of 48 hours.

And now we just have to hope that she doesn’t start sending chains, tweety stickers or passive-aggressive audios in revenge for having taken her out.
