On Tuesday morning, authorities shared a grim discovery as a decomposing body was found in the front trunk of a Tesla belonging to 20-year-old musician D4vd.
While not much was immediately known about the body and authorities admitted that it would take some time to be able to identify the remains, some new details have emerged.
What We Know
- A body was found inside a Tesla belonging to musician D4vd at an impound lot in Hollywood.
- The car was brought to the impound lot after “someone reported it abandoned” in Hollywood Hills, and police were called after workers “reported a strong odor” coming from the Tesla, according to NBC Los Angeles.
- The badly decomposed body was discovered inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk. The remains were not intact and had badly decomposed.
- Detectives believe that the body is female. However, the remains were so decomposed that authorities have said it will take some time to properly identify the body.
- ABC News reports that the Tesla “is one of several vehicles owned by the musician,” and that many people have access to his vehicles.
- Despite the grim discovery, D4vd is continuing his world tour but will fully cooperate with the investigation.
New Details Emerge
While authorities have not yet been able to identify the remains found in the car registered by the musician, some new details have emerged that could help investigators determine the individual’s identity.
According to a report from ABC 7 Eye Witness News, the body belonged to a female, and the outlet shared some details about the individual.
- Wavy black hair.
- About 5 feet 2 inches tall
- Weighing 71 pounds
- Found wearing a tube top, black leggings, yellow metal bracelet and metal stud earrings

Despite this information, police have not yet determined the identity of the remains. Investigators will be relying heavily on the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner to identify the victim and determine the cause of death, police sources told ABC 7.
D4vd Continues His World Tour
Despite the grim discovery, D4vd has decided to continue his world tour, though he will also full cooperate with the investigation.
