They call him the Master Chef. Orlando Pirates will compete next season’s Betway Premiership with Sipho Mbule as one of the new options in central midfield.
The 27-year-old from Bethlehem, Free State, was available on a free transfer after Mamelodi Sundowns opted against a contract renewal on his expired deal.
While his agent Mike Makaab initially offered Mbule to Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates made their decision quicker.

“Orlando Pirates is pleased to welcome Sipho Mbule to the Club,” the Buccaneers said in short statement via social media.

With 169 games in the top-flight at SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune, Mbule has scored 16 goals and laid 14 assists.

*Orlando Pirates may set a three-man midfield that includes the highly talented Thalente Mbatha or Kabelo Dlamini.
