New footage has captured the moment Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter ran from the scene and hid in nearby trees.
Mr Kirk, 31, was answering a question about gun violence during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday when he was shot in the neck.
The suspect is still on the run, with police releasing a picture of a ‘person of interest’ yesterday afternoon and describing him as a male of college age.
President Donald Trump has said he is ‘confident’ the killer will be found.
The FBI has offered a reward of up to $100,000 (£73,000) for ‘information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk’.
A memorial for Mr Kirk has been set up at the university, with American flags, flowers, and handwritten signs left near the scene of the shooting.
His body was flown on Air Force Two – the vice president’s plane – back to Arizona, where he lived with his wife and two children.
Vice president JD Vance helped to carry Mr Kirk’s coffin, while the Second Lady held hands with his widow, Erika.
