A newly-promoted Premier League side are interested in signing a Chelsea star who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge after just one season.
It’s already been a busy summer for Chelsea who bought three new players – Liam Delap, Dario Essugo and Mamadou Sarr – ahead of their participation in the Club World Cup.
Their opening game at the revamped tournament is against Los Angeles FC in Atlanta on Monday night.
More incomings are expected, with Enzo Maresca stating his intent to sign a new winger after Jadon Sancho’s loan from Manchester United was not made permanent.
However, the Blues also need to offload many unwanted stars, with up to 15 members of the squad reportedly up for sale.

Several of these players were not named in Chelsea’s Club World Cup squad but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was, though it seems unlikely that the midfielder will feature much in the USA.
Dewsbury-Hall followed Maresca from Leicester to west London last summer in a £30million transfer after starring for the Foxes in the championship.

However, amid strong competition for the No.10 role in the team, the 25-year-old scarcely featured, making just two starts and playing only 258 minutes in the Premier League.
He was a regular in the Conference League, making seven goal contributions in 13 games, but was only used as a late sub in the final win over Real Betis.
Linked with a transfer exit as early as January, it is expected that the Englishman will leave this summer in search of game time and a possible destination has opened up for him.
According to The Telegraph, Scott Parker is keen on bolstering Burnley’s midfield with Dewsbury-Hall one option he is interested in.

Fulham’s Harrison Reed and Brentford’s Yegor Yarmolyuk are also on the shortlist with the Clarets making moves in the transfer market as they look to avoid another immediate relegation back to the Championship.
It is not known how much Dewsbury-Hall could cost or whether he would be allowed to leave on loan and he still has four years left on a £80,000-a-week contract.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ‘definitely not’ a Chelsea player
Chelsea icon John Obi Mikel rates Dewsbury-Hall but believes he is not of the calibre to play for the Blues and says a transfer would be best for both player and club:
‘He did well in the Championship with Leicester, but this is Chelsea Football Club.
‘He needs to go somewhere he can play and improve. Is he a good player? Yes. Is he a Chelsea player? Definitely not.’
