The annual list of the most valuable franchises in the NFL has been revealed and the Dallas Cowboys top the list.
According to Sportico, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys once again reign supreme with a total value of $12.8 billion. Dallas has topped the list in all six years Sportico has put the rankings out.
In 2024, the Cowboys were the first team to ever break $10 billion. The 2025 valuation for Dallas is nearly $2.5 billion higher than last year.
Rounding out the top five are the Los Angeles Rams ($10.43 billion), the New York Giants ($10.25 billion), the New England Patriots ($8.76 billion) and the San Francisco 49ers ($8.6 billion).
The 2025 top five is a repeat from 2024. The Rams moved into second place on the list last year, jumping the Giants, the previous No. 2 from 2023.
According to CNBC’s Michael Ozanian, the majority owners of the Rams, Kronke Sports & Entertainment, and the Cowboys, the Jones family, hold the top-two spots for the most valuable sports empires in the world, coming in at values of $21.17 billion and $15.53 billion, respectively.
Dallas’ massive 2025 valuation comes at a time when the team is locked in a contract dispute with superstar linebacker Micah Parsons, who recently requested a trade due to his frustrations over negotiations.
Parsons is widely expected to reset the market for non-quarterbacks once he gets his deal done. Whether or not that deal comes from the Cowboys remains to be seen.
