Nicholas Galitzine Reveals Modern Twist in New He-Man

Will the newMasters of the Universe film feel like the old He-Man adventures? Yes and no. There have been only a few official teases of Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, but we know that the plot of the film will involve Prince Adam/He-Man ending up on Earth. And, in a new interview, promoting his film 100 Nights of Hero, Galitzine has revealed that viewers can expect this take on the sword-wielding character to be a bit different than in the past.

Here’s what Galitzine has said about his new incarnation of Prince Adam, and why this version might not be exactly what fans will expect.

The New He-Man Will Be a Modern Take

In a recent interview with ScreenRant, Galitzine dropped a few hints about the tone and style of the new Masters of the Universe.

“Without spoiling too much, I think there is a modernity to him that is really interesting,” Galitzine said. “It feels like who he is as a person is a handshake between what traditional masculinity and femininity are, and I think it is very exciting to be able to play that in such a huge studio movie.”

Galitzine also noted that he feels that the action and stunts of the movie are paired with some deeper character work, which isn’t something everyone necessarily expected from a He-Man movie!

“The action and the set pieces are incredible, but there’s a really human story in there as well…I’m really excited for people to see this movie and to meet Adam.”
